Philosopher of Levity- Part 1

    About 700 years before Geki would travel to the Spiritcaster Academy, the Intergalactic Sonopteran Empire saw fit to visit the Omigari galaxy. They sent the Nineteenth Scouting Division to this galaxy, with instructions to carefully inspect each planet to determine if they may be a threat or boon to the empire which should be conquered. The Scouting Division quickly made their way to the galaxy's first planet, just past the Empire's borders. Their report of the planet marked OMN-01 is as follows:
    "Landed without issue on planet. Atmosphere highly toxic, mostly irradiated flammable gases that occasionally ignite, containment suits deployed. One personnel lost. Surface is mostly rock, reddened by proximity to sun. Rock is tested, unable to support life. No quantities of useful material found. Disengaged from planet."
    And then they headed to the third planet, OMN-03:
    "Landed on planet, communication errors encountered, but overcome. Life forms encountered immediately. Communications established, life forms identity selves as Zenergans. Consider themselves a single race, though vary greatly and divided into tribes, see attached forms. Planet is very similar to homeland, Zenergans not entirely hostile, recommend establishment of trial colony. Driven off by hostile Zenergans, supernatural abilities noticed, disengaged from planet. Three personnel lost"
    Despite having lost a few men, the brave Sonopterans pressed on in their survey, making their way to OMN-02:
    "Landed on planet, primal lifeforms encountered immediately. Seventeen personnel lost. Disengaged from planet, seems inhabitable but larger force recommended to deal with primitives."
    Determined to see this through, they traveled to OMN-05:
    "Landing difficult because of massive craters, but successful. Craters determined to be entrances to subterranean complex. Biosynthetic machines found, capable of thought and reproduction, scientists are astounded, see attached samples. Machines found to be extremely hostile. 173 personnel lost. Disengaged from planet, further study recommended."
    Though now they had lost a fifth of their personnel, they journeyed on, arriving at OMN-06:
    "Landed on planet, plant and animal life abundant, atmosphere safe. Despite a large jungle of life forms, life scans always only detect a single life-form. Multiple studies completed, see attached forms. Colonization highly recommended. Disengaged from planet."
    Then, finally, they went to the final planet, OMN-04:
    "Landed without issue on planet. Planet lacks significant atmosphere, drones employed. Outside of planet is a dense, unidentified metal, harder than diamond. Inside of planet is hollow, but contact with inside could not be established. Personnel report intense feelings of paranoia and many psychological disturbances near planet, though no toxins found. All equipment ceases functioning. Personnel suicide rate at 99%. Disengaged from planet, return to planet not recommended."
    And so the Sonopterans left Levity, never to return, for Levity in this time before spirits was a dark and terrible place, filled with an evil energy.
